A language school stay in Rome solidified her connection and she continues to expand her experiences:

A year without Italy – unimaginable! A holiday in Italy is an absolute must. The breathtaking landscapes of the various regions, the gorgeous beaches and coasts with azure blue water, the Italian language, the history as well as the culture and – not to forget – the fabulous Italian cuisine enchant and capture me anew with every stay.

Raffaela also knows the Northern Alpine Territory bordering to Austria, South Tyrol (Südtirol / Alto Adige) and Trentino. An exchange over her Instagram lead to the idea to create a story about wine and culinary culture of the valleys around the famous Dolomite Alps. To represent the vintner wine diversity in the region Strasserhof (Eisacktal/Val d’Isarco Sylvaner/Grüner Veltliner) and De Vigili (Trentino Teroldego) soon agreed to the project.

Raffaela went on to explore the wine culture of South Tyrol including a very typical saisonal tradition: the Törggelen with new wine, chestnuts and more. Please note she writes in German but you may let translate her blog posts to your language.

Raffaela explored two very typical culinary delights with two of our wines:

Beef stew with herb spaetzle. The St. Magdalener from the Obermoser wine estate goes perfectly with this dish. My whole family was thrilled with this wine – especially my mother. https://magdalener.it/
Fillet of beef with celery puree. The Lagrein grape variety goes perfectly with red meat. This wine transforms the dish from South Tyrol into a true autumn dream. Just try it and enjoy! https://lagrein.info/

Thank you Raffaela and family and we hope you continue to enjoy the bottlings of artisan winemakers combined with typical culinary highlights.
