A typical vineyard day in July 2019: working and caring for the grapes

Greti working the Vines

Winegranny Greti (Margareth): when not busy as grandmother, fine cook (Südtirolessen like in a Inn/Gasthaus), singer, gymnast, countrywoman entertainer, etc. etc. Greti uses every minute to skillfully tame the wild grapevine growth.
Like a marathon runner she works her way through the Sea Of Vines, step by step, with the next Line Of Vines as her goal.
♥♥♥ This is called passion for the vineyard, can you imagine how beautiful flowers and vegetable gardens are around the estate?

We also have the first visible ripening in mid July: Lagrein (single) grape colouring in Bolzano/Bozen.
A glimpse into the cascade of aromas that will develop in these wonderful fruits.
The anticipation of vintage2019 facilitates the continuous work in the vineyards 🌿,
which never ends for us vinegardeners in the hotsummer in SouthTyrol.

Winepap Heini (Heinrich, the senior) is diligent and restless as usual in the vineyards, no problem Thomas is away for a week to Istria on the Adriatic sea 🏖
Most important these hotdays is controlling the state of the the grapevines and watering them if necessary.

Young Olives doing well: inspired by our dear friend Josephus Mayr Unterganzner we have been planting olive trees in all our vineyards for more than 2 decades now.
True to the motto: with #EnjoyVino and good oliveoil, you live well!
Later this year we hope to be privileged to announce exciting Extra Vergine bottling news.
